I am a illustrator/maker from Bristol. I have always been interested in traditional crafts and there is nothing I enjoy more than creating handmade items!
Colour and texture are important elements in my work, and I aim to create quirky, whimsical pieces that will put a smile on people’s faces and get their imaginations going!
My most recent collection ‘Once Upon a Time’ is inspired by European folk stories and fairytales I have created a series of 3D artworks and character brooches. By combining illustration and textile prints, I have produced scenes to evoke memories of childhood and invite the viewer into a whimsical world of magic and enchantment. I have been influenced by the present revival in handmade crafts and, for me, it is important that I keep a sense of this tradition in my work by using hand techniques such as hand cutting, drawing and stitching.
